The Japanese government since early August have issued policies to provide special subsidies for producers from the country making it ultra-compact car category. Subsidies granted officially began in 2013.

One manufacturer who enthusiastically followed the Japanese government program that is Toyota Auto Body Co., Which is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. Not only Toyota, Nissan and Suzuki are also preparing to follow in the footsteps of Toyota. It's given the market share of ultra-compact cars in Japan are increasingly congested urban traffic.
