British Biodiesel Supercar

Usually the fuel efficiency is a factor that is sacrificed to maximize the power and speed of a supercar. However, the British supercar manufacturers, Trident just noticed these factors and make the diesel engine as the heart of their new super car.

The car that carries the name of the Iceni rely on the V8 turbo-diesel engine with a capacity of 6.6 liters also equiped with Torque Multiplication technology. The power are able to produced by the engines peak at 430 hp with a maximum torque of 1,288 Nm.

The car is capable of accelerating from standstill to 96 kph (60 mph) can be achieved in just 3.7 seconds and can go up to a maximum speed of 321 kph. Because of the British super car using a diesel engine, the figures above is not the main selling points, but a frugal fuel consumption and mileage that much.

Based on the news that cited from Green Car Reports, the fuel consumption of Trident Iceni reaches 24 km/liter as far as 3,218 km in a single fueling. Interestingly, Trident Iceni is not designed exclusively for regular diesel fuel. The car can also downing bio-diesel, coconut oil, mustard and linseed oil.
With these alternative fuels, coupled with the efficiency and mileage factor, seems to spoil the Trident Inceni consumers who want an environmentally friendly supercar.
