The newest Musk's Idea of the Future Transportation Technology

To travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco as far as 611 kilometers in about half an hour may sound like a dream. However, when the idea was brought up by Elon Musk, a multi-millionaire and CEO of SpaceX, the first private company to send supplies to the International Space Station, the dream can come true.

The latest project from the owner of the SpaceX will be revealed in detail in August 12, 2013. The transport system will connect within 611 km, from Los Angeles to San Francisco, across the Golden State coast, in 30 minutes. At this time, the Coast Line train takes 12 hours to travel between the two cities, or 8 hours by car, and one half hours by plane.

Elon Musk.
Unlike the rail cars capable of carrying tens to hundreds of people, Hyperloop will use a small capsule with solar panels as its power source. This small capsule can leave any time you want, not bound by tight airline schedule. Hyperloop costs is also very cheap, with rates below the ticket price of train or airplane today.

Elon Musk describes his super-train as a cross between a supersonic aircraft Concorde, a rail gun, and air hockey table. The clues that inspire speculation about passengers capsules posed by compressed air passing through a vacuum tube.

Some physicists began to speculate as to what the future transport schemes created by Elon Musk is. Based on some of the details are expressed, the transportation system can move at speeds in excess of 965 kph.
Elon Musk will reveal his 'alpha design' for a 'hyperloop' super train on August 12, 2013. Many people have tried to guess how the proposed transport system might work but engineer John Gardi's explanation (pictured) has come the closest so far, according to the tech entrepreneur. (Picture from: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/)
The only vehicle that has a speed approaching the super train abilities that only Japanese bullet train, the Maglev. Its top speed of 580 kph, although generally these trains only operate at a speed of about 480 kph. Jim Powell, one of the bullet train inventors that currently the director of Maglev 2000, assume that the train what can be taken as soon as the train is running on the rail line open.
Brian Dodson a physicist suspected that the train can run at subsonic transport system. An alternative theory, proposed by Dodson, suggests that Hyperloop can be compressed with air transportation system consisting of a covered tube that makes traveling between the Los Angeles and San Francisco. The idea was inspired by the plans proposed in the early 1900s. (Picture from: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/)
"Air resistance would be a big problem after 480 kph, and it is only from the standpoint of strength," Powell told The Verge. "Then the air resistance it will begin to generate noise. Would you not want any aircraft that cross over your house at the speed of 965 kph."

Hyperloop will solve the noise problem by inserting capsules in a sealed tube, creating a closed environment, so that the vehicle can move it across the tube with minimal friction.

However, what drives the super trains capable of running close to 1,000 kph? The closest guess at the moment is what is used on the air hockey table. The vehicle will be driven by the acceleration of air along Hyperloop, with additional space at each end of the round to speed up or slow down the capsule.

The idea is to reduce friction as much as possible, but creates barely air speed of 1,000 kph is not an easy task. To get rid of all forms of barriers, an aeronautics expert George Maise StarTram proposed disposal of the entire air from the tube, so that the capsule goes through the vacuum tube.

"If the vacuum canister, you will have zero resistance," Maise said. "There's no speed limit. But maintaining a column of air that moves at nearly supersonic speed would require enormous energy."

Another problem is making lines or tubes as possible in between these two destinations. Unlike the rail line or highway, even a small bend pose difficulties. The same problem is faced by a bullet like a Maglev train line.

Engaged in high-speed passenger appeal sideways, so only with slowly shift that can make passengers dizzy. To make a straight line, the project Hyperloop forced through some densely populated areas.
ET3, a group of Colorado who has built a number of prototype vacuum-based transport, offering a solution to the problem was to construct a straight line vertical lines above the concrete pillars of a few meters in diameter.

But all the new allegations, because all the details are still kept secret by Musk. In the booms on Twitter, the founder of PayPal and Tesla Motors electric car manufacturer said that he would publish "alpha design" of this ambitious transportation project on August 12, 2013.

Musk says the system will never collide, resistant to all weather, as well as three or four times faster than the bullet train regular and two times faster than an aircraft with an average speed. The transport system will also get power from solar energy, even produce more energy than is used.

Musk believes this superfast transportation services can be made only at a cost of U.S. $ 6 billion. That number may sound unbelievable expensive, but transportation development plans bullet train between Los Angeles and San Francisco with a travel time of about 3 hours is predicted to require a budget of U.S. $ 68 billion.
"Apart from what has been announced Musk, I think no one can know what kind of idea," said the founder of ET3, Daryl Oster.

Across California in a half hour will certainly change the world. In contrast to most entrepreneurs, Musk has a track record that he was able to realize his idea. He has made a rocket Falcon 9 SpaceX successfully launched its Dragon capsule into orbit. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILYMAIL | SPACE | TJANDRA DEWI | KORAN TEMPO 4303]
