A Beautiful supercar made in China

Who among you still doubt that China is able to make a supercar that can be aligned with a world-class supercar that exist today? Maybe you need to look at this: Icona Vulcano.

Yes, Vulcano is the latest supercar concept made in China under collaboration with Italian designer. This concept vehicle had its debut in the Shanghai Motor Show 2013 some time ago. Supercar built jointly by European designers and engineers claimed is able to power up to more than 900 hp! Icona is the Italian automotive design house based in Pudong district, Shanghai China. While Vulcano is the first super car project they recently completed work.

You probably never thought that a vehicle has an aerodynamic shape is only equipped with two seats and created for the Chinese market. Naturally so, since this Vulcano has an almost perfectly sculptured body. Perfection is even deserve to be aligned with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren.

It is no exaggeration to say you know that in the Vulcano development project sits an automotive design maestro, Claudio Lombardi. This man is none other than former Ferrari technical director, as well as Italy's most successful people in the car machining problems.

Lombardi also been brought the Lancia won seven of the WRC titles with the Rally 037 and Delta S4 from 1982 to 1991. He also has an important role in the Ferrari F1 team and Ferrari GT from 1991 to 2000. Even as he was able to bring Max Biaggi's Aprila won the Superbike World Championship 2010. Besides Lombardi then there's Samuel Chuffart (former car designer at Jaguar and Nissan) which is also a key figure behind the beautiful design of Vulcano.

The technical specifications are still a sketch, but reportedly that the Icona Vulcano indicated had two engine options, and both have a serious amount of power. First, the H-Turismo Version which combines the V6 twin-turbo with a pair of electric engines to generate power up to 870 hp to all four wheels.

While the H-Competizione versions come with a V12 engine with an electric engine, which can catapult power up to 950 hp on its two rear wheels, which is known to use the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1.

The V6 engine version has weighs only 1,591 kg (3,507 lbs), while the V12 version is 1,631 kg (3,595 lbs), which makes the ability to accelerate from 0-100 kph (62 mph) reached in 3 and 2.9 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 349 kph (217 mph). And if the lead image on Icona's site is to be believed, the Vulcano has a seven-speed transmission, a rev counter that goes to 10,000 rpm, a horsepower meter and a seriously futuristic digital dashboard.
Unfortunately, Icona Vulcano does not explain when and with what company they will cooperate in the production process. It's clear, Icona not only will create a prototype supercar, they will produce it. If it does not happen obviously price will not be cheap. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ICONA VULCANO | AUTOBLOG]
