Different ethnicities with different immunities

Each ethnic proved to have the ability to fight different diseases. It was revealed by the population geneticists who study chains of Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid (DNA) of various ethnicities in the world.

The study was conducted with 425 people taking blood samples from Asia, Africa, and Europe. Chromosomes are taken from the sample is broken down into genetic information. DNA chain contains the genetic instructions used to create the various components of labor support cell, one antibody.

Immuno Globulin Heavy (IGH) locus is the body's command center to produce defense equipment from the disease. This section determines the production of more than 50 important antibodies. Corey Watson, a genetic researcher from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada, mapping this locus and found variations of the world's population.

A postdoctoral researcher at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, Watson completed his doctoral studies under the supervision of SFU biologist Felix Breden who leads this research project. Watson and Breden still collaborate on research.  "This is the most complete map of IGH. We find different IGH composition by ethnicity," he said through a press release. Study of the immune determinant locus is published in the American Journal of Human Genetics, published in late March 2013.

Each individual has a different arrangement of IGH. That's why, every person has a different resistance to a disease. However, as Watson study, the difference is generally determined from which the ethnicity individual came.

According to Watson, the results of her study indicate the ability to fight disease in an ethnically determined by environmental influences perceived ancestors. Identification of genes showed a response to the disease causing decisive 11 locations IGH antibody production.

The results provide new insights to the study antibiotics. During the antibiotics made so suitable for use by all ethnic groups in the world. In fact, every ethnicity has the potential of different antibiotics. "Making antibodies should pay attention to ethnic diversity." she said. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SFU | SCIENCEDAILY | ANTON WILLIAM | KORAN TEMPO 4207]
